>Joe McPhee - Nation Time
I've never really listened to too much free jazz so this was what I would call a very refreshing experience. Nation Time was eclectic and full and everywhere around you in a beautiful, and classic, jazz way and the constant, yet light, percussion was incredibly satisfying to the ear. Listening to Nation Time, I could almost picture a bustling city, life all around me, and everything moving at a fast pace (perhaps this is because the music itself is fast paced.). Overall, I'm very glad I got to hear this, only towards the middle did it grow dull (although it was very slight, and I suspect the reason it grew dull had more to do with me being interrupted with some work. I want to listen to this again when I have free time so I can fully immerse myself in the music). I give this album an 8.4/10.
