I'll start off with saying it's almost 4 hours long. 4 bloody hours long. Way too long.
So the record is mostly a huge clash between lower strings and a lot of wind instruments. All this is happening with a cello/organ drone behind the fight. I am pretty plebby when it comes to explaining the actions of the orchestra but for me it sounds like the apex of Piece Of The Sky from The Seer but with the La Monte Young style drones. Pretty sp00ky stuff. If you still don't get it, I suggest listening to the 3rd Satz which sums up all the techniques used. Probably my favorite track as well. The horn dissonance and the piano parts make it really good.
Now, I would probably give this a 9 if it ended right there. However, there is a whole another 3 HOURS of the same sound. Maybe it's the theme that is to be blamed for the length but goddamn dude.
