their incorporation of electronic synths and percussion is at its most professional and seamless here. nearly every moment on this is fucking anthemic, which may be to its detriment since it leads to quite a sameness that the previous release avoided. also, the compression is a big bummer.
though it's probably still better than the Sufjan, Godspeed and Diet Dong releases, and at least as good as TPAB, just sayin'.
