There's albums that have aged decently, and if you're lucky like Archive's case the band moved on since then. Skip their second album though.

From what I can tell, there's a few groups to Archive fans, the 80% who came for their new stuff and worked their way through their back catalog, the twats 4% who came for You Make Me Feel (Please no guys) where Take My Head is their favorite album and the 16% who are stoners who came for Londinium, looked at the rest of their discography and went "WTF IS THIS SHIT?!?!?"

Granted, it's a very good album, even for those who aren't high, probably one of the best trip-hop albums and IMO stands up their with Massive Attack, it's just that if you're looking for anything like that in the rest of their discography you're going to be mistaken. I do thank god that You All Look the Same to Me came out of nowhere however.

Archive - Londinium (1996)
>Trip-Hop, Ambient Hip-Hop, Beats. This is just a damn solid trip-hop album. Super relaxing, and spacy but not so out there that is it weird or anything. In fact this is a totally normal 90’s trip-hop album and if you approach it as such there is some gold to found. Rapper and female vocals coat the beats like a glaze, never clouding the vision of the music but simply layering themselves over it. Totally worth checking out if you are into Massive Attack, Portishead, or hip-hop instrumentals.

nah, Tricky's production is nothing compared to Portishead or Massive Attack's imo. Here is one of the best Trip Hop albums out there from a sheer songwriting perspective

Did you dislike all the tracks on CC? Try Razed to the Ground or something. It's nothing like the album here but I'm just recommending shit, CC isn't a totally great album, or even good, but it's not bad.
