This is a great record overall (save for the first part, which is only decent imo) due to how much of a hypnotizing atmosphere TMT can create. Unlike on "real" drone records, there's plenty of variety in terms of sound and mostly instrumentation to keep it interesting and rewarding when listening attentively. In fact, putting this on in the background really doesn't do it any justice at all and I only really appreciated it when I gave it my nigh undivided attention. When I did this, though, it was a very rewarding listen and a rather unique one. The music does move towards a certain point, but does so at a subtle, slow pace, so that it all seems to flow into each other even when the instrumentation and atmosphere of one part can differ wildly from another. Although it's not super amazing for me and at some points lets down just a bit, I still highly recommend this to anyone who's into improvised music. 8/10
