Hey /mu/, it's been a while. I need help with something. I want to start recording my music. I basically only play acoustic/electric guitar and keyboard. What programs on the internet should I "buy" that can help me with effects and all that stuff.

I really have no idea how to do any of this so any advice would be welcome. I'm trying to keep my mind off of this girl, so I need a new outlet that will soak up a lot of time. So far I've just been restoring a guitar but it's almost done so I want to be able to do something with it, and I think recording and fucking around with the tones and sounds of my songs will help.
