Dance Gavin Dance
Their s/t album (my opinion their best) and their albums Downtown Battle Mountains I&II are arguable the perfect modern post-hardcore records. They have the impeccably perfect production that more mediocre “post-hardcore” and “metalcore” bands of the 00s had, but DGD is way more melodic like Fugazi and Rites of Spring and stuff. Not to mention the virtuosity of the guitar/drums/vocals and the fact they’re genuinely soulful/funky.
