This is precisely why Faust is the best rock album ever. It's a bunch of guys who were hired to be the Beatles of Germany telling the people who commercialized rock and blues to fuck off and making something strange, silly, and absolutely fantastic. You cannot look too deep into it (although the poem at the end is pretty somber), as it was created by a bunch of good friends trying to make something new. The attempt to separate popular music from popularity is what krautrock (and, arguably, most 'art rock') was all about. And nobody did it better than Faust.
Also, like you said, it's very creative. It blends electronic noise, field recordings, the blues, Zappa-esque progressive rock, psychedelic rock jams, and all kinds of things into one record. On top of that, I find a lot of it to be incredibly enjoyable and incredibly beautiful. It's probably my favorite record. I still remember first listening to it and just being totally weirded out, and then listening to it again about a month later and being blown away.
