That should be one of the better ones. What amplifier you have at the moment?

Even on a mediocre amp swapping the bridge to something cliche like a duncan distortion or X2N would make a difference, but if you're amp is meh at best, then yeah. Keep saving.

I live in the foothills next to a national park, but really a lot of those amplifiers are more than usable in your bedroom.

Maybe not a 6505 (it doesn't sound good until 3-4), but a DSL50 sounds great on one and isn't really THAT loud.

If it has an effects loop, try running the AxeFX into the return. I can upload one of my patches if you want to load it on and see how it sounds?

You have to dial them in a little differently when you use them like that.

I find mine really lackluster through monitors, but it's great fun through a 4x12.

If you hold it how Chuck used to it alleviates that for the most part.

I love my 8100 too, I slaved it out to my DSLs poweramp for a bit which beefed up the low end a ton.

I got mine for $200 AUD. Hard pressed to get a better metal tone for that kind of cash.

Found an old clip I did with it, playing is a bit sloppy, but oh well. That's just the amp, no boost or anything like that.

We had a mid 80s NJ Stealth sitting in the back of the bus on the last tour. It was bought off the guitarist from diSEMBOWELMENT.

BMusic in South Australia has them.

The guitarist got an endorsement during one of their US tours. Had this gorgeous purple neck through kelly as the backup. It came out in Adelaide.

There are a couple custom shop Horizons too and an R9 that don't come out often either.

Yep. I picked that one up for $200 AUD a couple years back from a pawn shop. They sold it to me as "not-working" apparently it made no noise when they plugged a guitar in.... No cabinet....

Here's some random old clips I did, might pull it out in the future for grind though. It's razor tight.

I used to frequent a store that was on my way home, it got to the stage where their salesman were asking me questions. Probably because I was the only person in the country who actually knew most Ibanez model numbers at the time.

Nowadays I just use a small store near me. Guy lets me playing anything I want, and from time to time I buy things that I like.

Yeah, it's fucking dumb. At least their serial numbers are consistent though. *coughjacksoncough*

One of the early things I did with the AxeFX was dial in a few modified versions of my normal tones that compensate for power amps and speakers in other bands gear. Means I can use other peoples heads (power amp) and cabinets and not cart mine around haha.

The top of the pickups were wood as well, matched to the fretboard. Like I said, a work of art.

Got me really intrigued now. I'm guessing they're really balanced sounding as well? I borrowed a friend PRS Custom 24 for a bit, thought that and the 498T in my Les Paul had a nice clean tone. Then came the Holy Diver to show me how it's done haha.

Hard to beat the sound of an ORANGE layered with a Marshall...

The power board in this photo makes me cringe. Didn't have my power conditioner yet...
