Phil Collins era of Genesis is criminally underrated, they did one album that is just as good as the past materiel with Gabriel, another GOAT prog album, a decent proggy pop album and a prog pop album that nails this style flawlessly. And even their albums from Abacab onwards aren't as bad as people would lead you to believe.
Genesis never became "bad" imo, especially when you compare their pop albums to what other prog bands did in the 80s, they did great pop shit while everyone else was struggling to make at least one decent pop song.
