The Gerogerigegege - Showa
Am I weird for thinking this was pretty relaxing? I probably am. But really, this is not unlike Night in terms of concept (basically IRL trolling), but this one has a couple of advantages over that one. For one, the sound of two people moaning and talking dirty to each other (I suppose? I don't understand Japanese) and the occasional truck passing by under the window and stuff is a lot more listenable than the squishy sounds of Night. In addition to that, the very lo-fi recording of the japanese national anthem that bookends this album is pretty fucking great, really. Finally, like I said, this honestly works a little like Endless Humiliation in that it's somehow kinda relaxing. It's not as good as Endless Humiliation, but it does have the added benefit of the hilarious concept (Showa refers to the emperor of Japan, who had just deceased. Imagine some Japanese bloke buying this at the time, expecting a homage to the great leader, and finding out what its content really is)
I guess it's a little too long though. And it lacks the trademark "ONETOOTREEFOAH!" at the beginning. Still worth checking out. It's not that bad, people! It's only people having sex!
