I don't try and force it on people (like /mu/ seems to), I just talk about it with people who like the same stuff. if anyone actively asks about my music taste I just say "I like Radiohead" because it's at least partially true and doesn't have people getting incredibly angry over me enjoying stuff like Tim Hecker because "it's not music".
