the last castrati
given the age of this record, it had a lot of ancient echo-y qualities and pops and hissing. made it seem extra creepy, though the songs are actually very beautiful and intended for mass. sort of a conceptual and audible dissonance permeating the record.
the dissonance I experienced with Climate of Hunter was a much less enjoyable sort: scott's haunting, insanely powerful voice with unimposing instrumentation that, I hasten to add, is plagued with the loathsome staples of popular 80's music. 10 times out of 10 I would pick scott 3 over this album
