I haven't listened to it so i'm not sure if it's good, but Demon Days has the most ugly retarded cover I think i've ever seen. It pisses me off. I probably won't even listen to it just because the cover is so terrible

Is the greatness of this album a testament to its genius or evidence of its accessibility? In the positive/negative sense of it either being a landmark (patrician) or it being musically 'obvious' (plebeian)?

It's always held unusual sentimental value for me but even in recent times I listen to it and it really seems up there as far as popular, modern music has ever been.


I feel like it's easy to understand that people will either access the musicality and direction of it and consequently really favour it, or they will otherwise glean it as 'accessible' and therefore more in the realm of tackiness (especially concerning the cartoon aesthetic). But what I want to question is this contrast of access from accessibility from some theoretically artistically omnipotent perspective necessarily collapses always into accessibility rather than access.

tl;dr is liking something which is (for the sake of argument) really good always an indication of some inherent negativity, such as indulgence or other types of artistic 'cheapness'.

9/10 albums and what you hate most about a close mate

Great lad but lately he seems to ignore more of what other people say and is just interested more in what interests him. It just feels like he feels empathy or something. It is honestly starting to really piss me off and makes me feel unsympathetic towards him too.

They may have put an album out a few years ago, but needless to say the Gorillaz are basically dead.

The world right now is very different than the world the Gorillaz saw popularity in. How do you think the Gorillaz, or any virtual band, would fare if they came out now, instead of when they did? Thinking especially about social media and the fact that people are almost always consuming some kind of media these days, what might be different?
