Girl Talk & Freeway - Broken Ankles EP
Now this is what I'm talking about. This shit is fuckin' fire, fam.
Considering my earlier albums, it may seem like this is a trap rap EP. But it isn't. It's so much more.
For one thing, the production here is far from trap rap and it is fucking banging. It's got an old vibe to it, similar to something off of Dr. Lecter. And the rhythm is always so fucking perfect on these songs. Girl Talk does a great job on the production here.
Freeway, likewise, is great here. His delivery is very energetic and loud. Sort of like DMX, but a little less intimidating. But I don't mean it in a bad way. He's still very charismatic, as well as a hell of a rapper. He fits these beats perfectly as well.
I really loved this. I can't think of anything in particular that I disliked It's not a masterpiece, but I still love this shit. I'm really hoping these two work together some more, because this was awesome. 8.7/10.
