I started coming on this board a few years ago. It was a shithole, but it was a fun shit hole.
It's nearing the end of the year and I've thought about how I've spent mine, and I spent pretty much all of my internet time here and I regret every second of it. This place has pretty much become a mix of /pol/, /b/, highschool, and sometimes a tiny sprinkle of what /mu/ used to be. Waifu threads, taylor swift, "rap is le shit", "nice meme XDDD", etc.
Music is rarely discussed anymore, and if it is majority of the responses you will get will be "it's shit" or "I like them". It doesn't really go more indepth than that. And when it does, it's a shit fest of "My opinion is better dan urs" arguments. 3x3 threads somehow became a daily thing and it's mainly people belittling others on their taste rather than serving their original purpose of sharing music based on what you like. When this board does like something as a whole, it's usually completely aesthetic based rather than what the actual music is. It's become a "I hate pitchfork" club that is basically pitchfork. /mu/ is shit now.
