So I've been seeing a lot of discussion lately that jazz/rock/all popular music is shit, enjoyment is shallow, you need to appreciate music using theory to not be shallow, etc.
Theory/classical guys: do you agree with this stuff?
Here's some of the main points I'm seeing:
>if you enjoy both classical and popular music, you're not appreciating the classical music and are a shallow person
>music should be listened to for emotional fulfillment
>jazz is talentless, self indulgent, unmusical, etc
