Everyone, shitposting aside, I have something to say. Every single day there is a new thread with a new theory about when JD will drop based on random aspects of either Fashion Week or fake ARGs (although, I've got to say, the Chinese New Year idea makes sense). Think about this: from the very start, Death Grips have released things and recorded things in correspondence with the dates of specific astronomical dates (they even said so in interviews).
I haven't matched up every single thing they've done with an astronomical event, but I'll explain things I have found with some quick Google searches (either from other people figuring this stuff out before me, or just from matching dates (I've spent maybe 20 minutes total doing this)). Fashion Week was released on January 4. That night was a full moon, and was also a perihelion (which is when the Earth is closest to the Sun). Niggas on the Moon was released the day after Mercury entered retrograde, and they officially broke up the day after it left retrograde. There are a couple less space-based ones (but things that make sense with, like, Stephan's tattoos and stuff). The rehearsal video came out on Friday the 13th. Government Plates came out 13 months, 13 weeks and 13 days after No Love Deep Web.
Full Moon (Death Classic), the first song they recorded, was recorded on December 21, 2010. That night was the Winter Solstice and also a full moon in total lunar eclipse. They also released that whole EP on March 19 2011. On that date there was a super moon, or perigee.
March 20, 2015 (30 or so days from now), is the Spring Equinox, a full moon in perigee, and a total solar eclipse. Seem familiar? I think that's when JD/TPTB could be released. It's the last thing they recorded (apparently (or at least with Stephan)), it's in similar conditions to when their first thing happened, and, of course, it's close to all the other speculative dates. Or, maybe it's the physical. Either way, I think they'll do something on that day.
