Alright, having heard the leaks, here is what happens:

>Most of the album is about Matt Healy, who her fans think is a racist nazi. She also tells her fans to fuck off in But Daddy I Love Him
>Every song sounds the same, and Jack Antonoff is getting dragged on twitter
>Even before the leaks, the song titles and album title were laughable
>Apparently she didn't drop Healy for PR reasons.


Here is my theory: she didn't spend 2 years writing TTPD. It was done within a few months. Her goal is to make a bad album and get the public to turn on her and call her music garbage for Rep TV.

music is kaput nowadays because there's nothing to sing about. you have to understand that the rock-and-roll explosion of the 50s-60s was caused by boomers wanting to rebel against the overly rigid, militarized culture of their parents caused by influence of a world war. but that dynamic doesn't exist anymore and there's nothing to rebel against nowadays. Trump or trannies or whatever boogeyman you imagine doesn't make a very convincing villain that needs to be overthrown.
