I used to really enjoy avenged when I was younger and would generally defend the quality of some albums, but this record in particular is not "metal" whatsoever. A few catchy tracks and peak cringe a7x lyricism, right up until their latest abomination topped it.
They're huge posers and have a horrendous aesthetic, but they've made some decent songs over the years.

This album certainly isn't going over a 7/10 due to them spending too much time within a single riff, but each riffs themselves are pretty well done and the dynamics on this are excellent. All the swing on this makes it really enjoyable as I said before about it, really all this needs is more movement/progression and I would have absolutely loved it.
