>>122015130People dont prove things in their rap beef verses, they just talk shit. Thats how its always been and there are no rules when the 'gloves come off'.
Its true that its impossible to prove negatives like not being a pedo and not having a daughter, but thats exactly what made Kendrick's rhetoric more effective. Its a very dirty tactic but rap beefs are always dirty. Kendrick never defended or denied drake's accusations towards him while Drake spent half a song on defence. That just looks bad on wax.
>it's interesting to me that Drake was held to a heavier burden of proof.Kendrick also listed out all the things everyone knows (or assumes) Drake has lied about in the past, and kept calling him a liar and manipulator through all his songs. That made the audience even less trusting of anything he says. Kendrick himself has a clean record from the public's POV and all his music has been full of introspection and open-ness.
Again, I think Kendrick went as low and dirty as he could with the beef, using all of his cultural cache against Drake really effectively. That along with the timing of his releases made it an impossible battle
